I've taken tiny, baby steps into blogland over the past few months -- wrestling the glitches and roadbloks of cyberspace, and given up after many a lost evening -- but today, for some reason, for the first time, I think I've actually managed to click on a few things here that worked!
Never too late for a dinosaur, I keep telling myself. I got tired of little boxes popping up that wouldn't let me pass, vanishing texts, lost profiles...
this post is really just a test. Any of you cyber wizards out there with "right brain"s who might like to give a newbie a tip or two, please be my guest!
I feel like the new kid in town.

Thanks for your special nudge in the ribs, Mike!

WooHoo! You did it! I'm so impressed! So now it will be ~YOU~ telling ~ME~ how to do this!
I'm excited for you, Connie. I can't wait to see all the gifts this blog is going to bring you. And I can't think of anyone who deserves them more than you.
Love ya, darlin'!

And I just want everyone who comes here to know that, even though I'd had exposure to autisic children at the school where I work, I barely understood autism before I met Connie. That's not to say that I completely understand it now, but as Connie would say, I "get it" a little better.
But that has only come about through her countless patient explanations of the ins and outs of autism, her sharing wonderful stories of her son, my listening to her general beliefs and outlooks on life, and the deep impressions she's made on my mind, my heart and my soul through her inspirational music.
If it weren't for Connie, I'd "still be seeing colors only this side of the light" - Connie Deming - "If You Hadn't"

Welcome to the blogosphere! I look forward to reading your opinions. Looks like your test is working just fine.
Not that I know much, but here's a couple of things I've learned (that you probably already know):
1) You can set your preferences in blogger such that you get an e-mail message anytime someone responds on your blog. This is handy once you've gotten lots of posts up, as it will tell you when someone responds to an old post.
2) Looks like you already know how to post pictures. Assume then that you also know how to use the buttons on top to make something bold, italicize it, or embed a link (sorry, couldn't pass up the shameless plug).
Connie,
Welcome to the blogosphere!
-- a fan from Autreat: your concert there landed "Adagio" in my musical pantheon, somewhere adjacent to the Adagietto from Mahler's 5th Symphony. Just different kinds of love song.
come on, i know you can do it. write another entry!
